What is a Social Media Cafe?

The kukutana social media café is a gathering of people interested in social media – be that through curiosity, have an interest in it already, use some of the tools around today like facebook, linkedin, twitter, youtube – or want to know a bit more about how other people and businesses are using them online.

Where is it?

It will be held at the Kamares restaurant in Twickenham on a Friday morning, between 10am and noon starting on the 2nd of October

How much does it cost?

Coming into the café is free, however you can buy a coffee/tea/soft drink or ask for a tap water from the Chris and Betty, Kamares owners.</>

Is there a set format?

We will aim to run a short 15-20 minute talk each week, to run around 1030am, apart from that the idea is to chat to other attendees and learn from each other and share your ideas and knowledge about these tools.

Do I have to stay for a full 2 hours?

No it is just like a coffee shop, drop in buy a coffee or tea – the difference is everyone there has an interest in social tools in some way from curiosity to experienced users, so just chat to one another and find out what you know.

How do you decide on the subjects for the weekly talk?

The first talk will be around using these tools to create/improve your personal online brand – this is useful for individuals, freelancers and employees.
